Position Title : Senior Staff Engineer ( Ref. 7897646)

Job Description :

Design and implement business functionality in the assigned Platforms(s), Product(s), and Product Line(s). Actively coach and mentor engineers in the product team and identify and resolve issues with technology and product processes. Develop new features and services that are medium-very to high level of complexity working with the product, platform, infrastructure, and security team. Design, code, test, deploy and support working software and technology component, working collaboratively with architects and other engineers. Build systems and services that have immediate impact for our business. Create Threat Model, Architecture, Estimates, Design, Code, and COTS configuration for the required business feature. Responsible for delivering clean, secure, performant code and technology component that meets all the non-functional requirements. Responsible for achieving operational excellence as part of delivering feature. Act in a Lead Engineer capacity for medium to large initiatives, prioritizing and assigning tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues. Set up application jobs, create test data, and support deployment, all at a medium to very high level of complexity. Lead discussions on design approaches to solving visible, strategic and complex business problems. Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley compliance and all TJX Company standards as applicable. Fully Owns Epic with limited or no guidance. Give guidance and unblocks other; finds opportunities to mentor and grow teammates. Lead and participate in Development process definitions, best practices, and standards. Identify emerging technologies for consideration for new technology direction and implements proof of concepts to prove the new technology. Help onboard and mentor new hires. Coach and mentor other engineers on the team. Support Talent Acquisition process by performing technical interviews for hiring. Learn and champion DevOps practices. Maintain broad knowledge in the business applications and services that comprise a given technical domain. Understand the end-to-end business application processes in a given technical domain and is responsible for the technical application and service roadmaps including the recommendation and initiation of IT driven projects. Provide technical subject matter expertise and insight related to the business applications in each technical domain. Responsible for architecture, design and technical decisions.

Job Requirements :

Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of IT experience. Experience must include:

Five (5) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Computer Algorithms and Programming
• Software design and architecture
• End to end business application processes in a technical domain

Four (4) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Security best practices and principles
• Incident and change management principles and best practices
• Package Applications (COTS) and Supporting Technologies
• Sarbanes-Oxley and PCI compliance requirements

Two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):

• Retail systems or corporate business operations
• Database Query Language – SQL
• End-to-end architecture patterns

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: 172,744.00/year.
