The Idaho Statesman seeks a fast-acting breaking news reporter to join its award-winning newsroom in Boise, one of the fastest-growing metro areas in America.
This reporter will join our prolific breaking news team that has provided market-leading coverage of Boise’s hangar collapse, a hospital prison break, a run of police shootings and Ammon Bundy’s fight against local authorities. We’re looking for a reporter who can move quickly when news breaks, dig for details and follow the biggest stories with coverage that sets us apart.
This position covers our Tuesday-Saturday breaking news shifts.
Join the newsroom that explained why the government isn’t helping employees with unpaid wage claims against employers, explored the past of the man accused of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Idaho American Legion, and produced an in-depth look at the ramifications of the reopening of a Central Idaho mine.
