Job Description

CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. Included in the S&P 500 Index and the NASDAQ 100, CoStar Group is on a mission to digitize the world’s real estate, empowering all people to discover properties, insights and connections that improve their businesses and lives. We have been living and breathing the world of real estate information and online marketplaces for over 37 years, giving us the perspective to create truly unique and valuable offerings to our customers. We’ve continually refined, transformed, and perfected our approach to our business, creating a language that has become standard in our industry, for our customers, and even our competitors. We continue that effort today and are always working to improve and drive innovation. This is how we deliver for our customers, our employees, and investors. By equipping the brightest minds with the best resources available, we provide an invaluable edge in real estate. CoStar Group is the global leader in real estate technology, data, and analytics. We’re seeking a visionary Motion Graphics Designer to join our award-winning in-house video team. This is a rare opportunity to create immersive visual experiences for LED installations that span our global offices—blending animation, storytelling, and real-time design innovation to captivate and inspire. Your work will directly contribute to shaping the look and feel of our office environments worldwide. The Motion Graphics Designer will conceptualize, design, and animate visually compelling content for CoStar Group’s state-of-the-art LED installations across global office spaces. This role demands advanced motion design skills and a passion for innovation, pushing creative and technical boundaries to craft immersive storytelling experiences. In addition to LED-focused work, the designer will support motion graphics needs for marketing campaigns and high-impact events. Success in this role requires creative agility, a strong sense of visual narrative, and the ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Responsibilities include conceptualizing, designing, and animating 2D and 3D motion graphics for video wall content across offices; collaborating closely with LED screen stakeholders including marketing, internal communications and IT department; developing concepts and storyboards; managing complex projects and meeting deadlines independently; experimenting with the latest AI tools and staying up to date on motion graphic/animation trends and video wall technology; maintaining a reliable file system to facilitate streamlined collaboration and creativity. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit college or university; minimum 8+ years’ experience as a 2D/3D motion designer or animator at an agency, professional sports team, Fortune 500 brand or equivalent; expert proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D, and either Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve; experience with Unreal Engine, Blender, or Houdini is a strong plus; strong technical knowledge of motion design workflows, rendering pipelines, and system optimization; ability to manage fast-paced timelines and deliver polished, high-quality motion graphic content under pressure; self-starter with strong interpersonal and collaborative communication skills; ambitious, willing to take creative risks, and experiment; bonus points for set, field or location production work; portfolio submission required with each project including a brief role summary and tools used, demonstrating mastery of 2D/3D work and storytelling. Benefits include comprehensive healthcare coverage, life, legal, and supplementary insurance, mental health counseling services, commuter and parking benefits, 401(K) retirement plan with matching contributions, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, on-site fitness center or reimbursed membership costs, access to Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Employee Resource Groups, complimentary gourmet coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, and other healthy snacks. CoStar Group welcomes all qualified candidates eligible to work full-time in the United States but does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. CoStar Group is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer; maintains a drug-free workplace and performs pre-employment substance abuse testing.
