Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,645.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $720.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,925.00 Per Week
Job summary: The Emergency Department (ED) at The George Washington University Hospital is a fast-paced environment treating patients across a broad spectrum of medical needs, including urgent care, psychiatric, pediatric, and critical care/trauma cases. As an ER Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver care to patients requiring complex nursing interventions to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients with varying acuity levels.
Perform critical nursing skills including medication titrations, arterial line management, mass transfusions, and chest tube care.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to implement patient-centered care plans.
Maintain accurate documentation and utilize Cerner electronic health records effectively.
Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state/district of practice – Required
Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room nursing experience – Required
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications – Required
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Highly Desired
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program – Required
Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system – Required
