Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing Services is actively seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their client's dynamic team in California. This role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and enhancing manufacturing processes to ensure the production of high-quality products in a cost-effective and efficient manner. The successful candidate will have a strong focus on lean manufacturing principles and will collaborate closely with various departments to achieve production readiness and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with R&D, marketing, quality, and assembly teams to ensure production readiness.
  • Lead pilot production phases and support new product introductions.
  • Design and implement assembly and test fixtures for production and service.
  • Optimize processes for lean manufacturing and cost efficiency.
  • Plan projects and coordinate with external vendors as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including procedures, BOMs, and testing methods.
  • Conduct process capability testing and support failure analysis with corrective actions.
  • Develop test plans, time standards, and recommend tooling/process improvements.
  • Support sustaining engineering, product enhancements, and training for production staff.
  • Participate in continuous improvement, cost reduction, and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality systems and applicable regulations.
  • Occasional travel required for supplier audits and business support.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, ideally within the medical device industry.
  • Strong GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience is essential.
  • Relevant education and experience in manufacturing or process engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and lean principles.
  • Proficiency in prototyping, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Solid Edge, AutoCAD).
  • Understanding of FDA and ISO quality standards preferred.

Required Work Hours

Monday to Friday, 1st shift.

Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $106,000 to $145,000 annually, with approximately 10% travel time required.

Additional Details
