Sonoran Roots is looking for a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a Junior Graphic Designer.

ABOUT THE POSITION:

As a Junior Graphic Designer, you'll work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, Marketing Manager, and Marketing team to execute high-impact creative across packaging, in-store displays, social media, email, and more. This is an opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment while working with some of the most exciting cannabis brands in the market.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - JUNIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER:

• Support the creation of marketing materials including digital ads, social media graphics, email layouts, retail signage, and product packaging.
• Assist with developing brand assets and maintaining consistency across multiple cannabis brands.
• Collaborate with senior creatives to bring campaign concepts to life across multiple touchpoints.
• Resize, format, and prepare files for production (print + digital).
• Support internal teams with design needs for events, presentations, and educational materials.
• Manage multiple projects with fast turnarounds while maintaining attention to detail.
• Stay current on design trends, cannabis marketing regulations, and brand aesthetics.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Pay Rate: Annual salary $43,000 - $53,000, depending on experience

Minimum Qualifications (Required):

• 2-3 years of professional design experience (internship or freelance experience counts).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Understanding of design fundamentals: layout, typography, color theory.
• Portfolio showcasing a range of digital and print work (bonus if it includes lifestyle, packaging, or cannabis content).
• Ability to take direction and apply feedback quickly and accurately.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Familiarity with Canva, 3D, motion design, photography, or social content creation.

Additional Qualifications (Preferred):

• Experience in the cannabis industry (formal or informal).
• Industry knowledge preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or GED.
• Cannabis-related education.
