Position Overview: The State Attorney’s Office is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Crime Data Analyst to support data-informed decision-making and improve operational efficiency. This role requires a professional with strong analytical skills who can interpret data summaries, charts, and reports, as well as work directly with case management systems and executive leadership. The analyst will play a key role in developing dashboards, conducting statistical analysis, and preparing briefings to support the Office's prosecutorial and justice practices. Key Responsibilities: Learn and apply State Attorney’s Office policies, practices, and workflows to ensure alignment of data analysis with operational goals. Extract and analyze case-level data from the State Attorney’s Office case management system in coordination with managers and administrators. Clean and organize raw data to ensure accuracy and consistency for reporting and analysis. Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal and external dashboards. Conduct statistical analysis of case and operational data to generate timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc reports. Interpret and present data through charts, tables, graphs, maps, and spreadsheet summaries. Create and deliver professional presentations, including PowerPoint for various internal and public-facing audiences. Respond promptly to data and report requests from the State Attorney’s Executive Team and other key stakeholders. Prepare clear and concise policy or research briefs on prosecutorial trends, criminal justice issues, and operational performance. Collaborate across departments to understand and support data-driven needs and initiatives. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in data science, Criminal Justice, Public Policy, Statistics, or a related field. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools. Experience conducting statistical analyses and interpreting trends from complex datasets. Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: Preferably experience with criminal justice systems, prosecutorial data, or case management platforms. Prior experience working in a government agency, legal, or public policy setting.
