Position Overview The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Seattle Children's Hospital is a 40-bed quaternary care referral center serving the WAMI region (Washington, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho). We care for infants up to young adults with diverse clinical conditions, including septic shock, respiratory failure, diabetic ketoacidosis, and metabolic diseases. Our team manages patients across surgical and medical services such as Neurosurgery, Transplant, Craniofacial/Plastics, Hematology/Oncology, and Bone Marrow & Stem Cell Transplant. Specialized PICU care includes cerebral and renal oximetry, high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, CRRT, intracranial pressure monitoring, and ECMO. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Director, Clinical Director, physicians, and staff to manage and improve patient care services in the ICU on a 24/7 basis, supporting quality improvement, customer service, program growth, and financial stability. Develop staffing plans, schedules, and staff development programs to meet current and future needs while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school Bachelor's degree in Nursing Master's degree in Nursing may substitute if the candidate also holds a Bachelor's in another field At least two (2) years of nursing experience Demonstrated leadership skills Credentials Current Washington State RN license National certification in a clinical specialty area (to be obtained within three years of employment) Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers Official transcripts or diploma indicating Bachelor's degree in Nursing to be on record with HR upon hire Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $126,805 - $190,207 per year, based on full-time employment (2080 hours/year).
