Position summary: Manages community, environmental, and transportation analysis and planning services, including development of community, regional, transportation, and natural resource plans and master plans. Oversees work of Planners, Economic Modelers, Architects, Civil Engineers, Environmental Scientists, and other Subject Matter Experts as needed. Compensation ranges from $200,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications. Develop and implement planning processes to support project and client needs. Manage research and data collection related to land use, socio-economic factors, transportation, natural and cultural resources. Lead data analysis and management efforts. Develop planning schedules and milestones. Manage public involvement strategies and stakeholder engagement activities. Prepare scopes of work, fee proposals, and respond to RFPs. Monitor project schedules, budgets, and staffing requirements. Hire, train, mentor staff, and conduct performance reviews. Lead project scopes of work, engage with investment partners, and oversee project completion. Support strategic planning and business development initiatives. Nonessential Functions: Create graphic visualizations like maps, infographics, and 3D models. Support field investigations and site reconnaissance. Assist in permitting processes and environmental reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills: Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and similar planning software. Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree in planning, public policy, architecture, engineering, economics, or related field plus 5+ years of relevant experience. Experience with economic growth solutions, data analysis, and urban planning. Knowledge of public-private project finance, master development, and legal structures. Understanding of placemaking, pre-development services, and environmental engineering. Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and public presentations. Preferred Experience: Master’s degree in related fields. Professional certifications like AICP, PTP, PE, etc. Familiarity with AutoCAD/Revit. Working Conditions: Office environment 90%, field work 10%. Field work outdoors, sometimes in challenging weather, with lifting up to 25 lbs. Equal opportunity employer.
